Nonprofit Leadership Reset

Powered by 366+ Beyond

October 28 and 29, 2026

New York City

A working retreat for early tenure nonprofit CEOs, EDs, and Presidents, and for the leaders stepping into those seats. Divest what isn't yours to carry. Decode the job nobody explained. Define how you will occupy your role deliberately.

Two days for the leaders everyone else leans on

Two Days

THREE MOVES

Divest

Put down what was never yours to carry. The inherited expectations, the borrowed leadership style, the guilt that shows up on a Sunday night.

Decode

Learn the parts of the job nobody hands you in writing. When to be the CEO-friend and when to be the CEO-boss, and where your decision lines live so hard calls get made fast instead of slow.

Define

Decide how you will occupy your role deliberately, rather than stepping into someone else's version of it. Your Working Genius* results and a written leadership philosophy: what you'll trade, what you won't, and what you'll be held to.

*The Working Genius is an assessment that identifies which parts of work energize you and which drain you,
so you can build a role, and a team, that tips the balance toward the work that energizes you and drives impact.

included
in your
two days

  • A session on what nobody tells you about the job covering the mechanics nobody hands you in writing, from knowing your numbers to when to be the CEO-friend and when to be the CEO-boss.

  • The Working Genius assessment identifying which parts of the work energize you and which drain you, and what that means for what you delegate, what you stop doing, and who you hire next.

  • A leadership philosophy session where you name what you stand for in your own words, so you know your lines and can hold them when they're tested.

  • A working session on your decision lines where you put them on paper, sorting which calls are yours alone, which belong to your board, and which you delegate and never touch again.

  • A wellness block covering your own physical and mental health, and the direct line between how you're doing and how your organization is doing.

  • A money session on wealth building and retirement: why leaders keep deferring these questions, what the deferral costs, and how to stop.

  • Peer coaching in small groups with leaders carrying the same weight, so you leave with a new community to tap into when needed.

  • An imposter syndrome panel that treats it as an occupational condition rather than a personal failing, and names what actually helps.

  • A facilitated panel with leaders who've made the leap, on what preparing for the seat actually took, overcoming missteps, and sitting in the role in alignment with your organization's mission.

  • All meals across both days, so the conversations keep going between sessions.

  • A closing commitment you name out loud, with a thirty-day check-in, so you leave with a plan you can act on, not just notes from two good days.

Proximate leaders of Nonprofit Organizations with operating budgets above $1M who are either:

  • CEOs or EDs under two years into their roles by the start of the program

  • Next-Level leaders aiming for a Nonprofit CEO or ED seat within the next two to three years

All participants bring seven or more years of professional experience of increasing scope and responsibility.

Who’S in the room

If you've been in the seat a decade and have your systems figured out, this isn't your room.
